“When I sold my home on Lake McQueeney, I had the worst case of seller’s re-morse in history,” says Mickey Ferrell, a lakeside resident of McQueeney since 1961, when she recalls the time she casually told a realtor friend a price for which she’d sell her home, never dreaming that a few days later the friend would return with a contract.
“I don’t know why I even said that, or why I signed the contract, but I bought another house on the lake as soon as I could find one,” says Ferrell.
Ferrell, like many living in and around San Antonio, absolutely loves life on the water. And with so many beautiful lakes and rivers in the area — from the San Antonio River to the Comal and Guadalupe, from Medina Lake, to Canyon Lake, Lake Dunlap, Lake McQueeney, Lake Placid, Lake Nolte, Lake H-4, Meadow Lake and Lake Wood — clearly there are many exciting choices for waterfront living right here in our backyard.
